I have been loving this cooler weather here in upstate NY! Sweater weather is my favorite because you get to dress cozy and during this time is when I eat warmer foods. Well, I don't know what has been happening with my taste buds lately but, all I want are smoothie bowls for breakfast. Yeah! I must be crazy eating these things in the morning. I am usually freezing after eating one! haha. I just can't help myself! They are so yummy, healthy, and easy to make. I will be sharing a few more over the next few days so check back in every once in a while.
I was recently approached by OMG Superfoods to test some of their products and create a recipe. I was extremely flattered because I love working with health food companies and finding new superfoods. When I came across the maqui berry powder I immediately wanted to make a smoothie bowl and see what this maqui berry was all about. I must say that I absolutely love this superfood! It's filled with antioxidants even more than acai. The rich berry flavor it gives the smoothie bowl is simply incredible.
Maqui Berry Smoothie Bowl
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 tbs maqui berry power
- Toppings: sliced bananas,strawberries, and blueberries
- Place everything into Vitamix or high-speed blender and blend until thick and smooth.
- Put into a bowl and add toppings (you can use whatever you'd like).
